I've been getting calls from these people multiple times a day, sometimes early in the morning and late at night. When I finally answered, the guy was super aggressive and started threatening to garnish my wages if I didn't pay immediately. I told them to stop calling me at work, but they kept doing it anyway.

I don't even recognize the debt they are talking about and they never sent me anything in writing. It feels like they are just trying to scare me into paying. I found this article that talks about their history of lawsuits for fake deadlines and harassment.

I'm honestly not sure if I should just pay it to make it stop or if I have grounds to fight back because of how they are treating me. Has anyone successfully gotten them to stop?
