VERTEX PHARMACEUTICALS is on the hunt for a Senior Manager of External Manufacturing to join their team in Paddington, London. This is your chance to oversee critical Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and shape the future of cell and gene therapy production! 🧬🏭

What you'll be doing:

• Being the go-to person for all things Vertex at ATMP cell and gene therapy CMOs


• Providing operational oversight and troubleshooting support to ensure top-notch quality and compliance


• Traveling up to 50% of the time as a "Person-in-Plant" to keep an eye on things


• Building relationships with CMOs and internal teams to drive success


• Managing performance, tracking data, and leading continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences field


• 10+ years of experience in biotech or pharma, ideally in cell and gene therapy


• Strong quality, compliance, and technical background in GMP operations


• Excellent project management and communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
